Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson are teaming to produce-direct three back-to-back Tintin movies using CGI animation.

Jackson's New Zealand-based WETA Digital, the f/x house behind "The Lord of the Rings" franchise, produced a 20-minute test reel bringing to life the characters created by Remi, who wrote under the pen name of Herge.

"Herge's characters have been reborn as living beings, expressing emotion and a soul which goes far beyond anything we've seen to date with computer animated characters," Spielberg said.

Crocs, maker of those brightly colored rubbery gardening shoes, is joining forces with Marvel Comics to produce shoes featuring Marvel characters.

Ron Snyder, CEO of Crocs, stated: "Marvel has created some of the best known Super Heroes and Super Villains of all time, many of which have been introduced to a younger, broader audience through major motion picture releases. We are committed to capitalizing on the growing popularity of our brands and Marvel's iconic characters through the creation of a line of products that will ring true with comic book enthusiasts and movie buffs alike."
