Our friend Booksteve finished his exploration of his 1976 journals and has now embarked on a new blog: 1974 - A Geek's First Journal, a brave look at where his head was at during ninth and tenth grade. Not so many of us would be so open and honest about our geeky pasts. But, if you're like me, many Steve's entries will resonate with you. Check it out!

A couple of other newish blogs I've been enjoying:
The controversial comics scribe/publisher Jim Shooter shares observations and memorabilia from his days at Marvel Comics and elsewhere on his self-titled site.

And current Marvel executive editor Tom Brevoort has been sharing loads of original art scans and other goodies at his Tumblr site, The Marvel Age of Comics.

Speaking of Jim Shooter, he recently wrote some entries about the death of the newsstand comic book market, to which Todd Allen at The Beat adds his thoughts.

Finally, here's a really good article from The New York Times on Tintin, which provides a good backgrounder for those new to the character and an interesting from old fans alike.
