Lynda Carter's complete "Wonder Woman" TV series airs ahead of WW84 on HBO Max

HBO Max is streaming the classic "Wonder Woman" TV series starring Lynda Carter in conjunction with its big debut of "Wonder Woman 84" on Christmas Day, Variety reports.

“Wonder Woman,” which ran for three seasons from 1975-79, stars Carter as the famed Amazonian princess. In the first season, which originally aired on ABC, Wonder Woman travels to 1940s America disguised as Diana Prince, assistant to the handsome but trouble-prone Major Steve Trevor (Lyle Waggoner). CBS picked up seasons 2-3 of the show, which are set in the ’70s, under the title “The New Adventures of Wonder Woman.”

All 60 episodes of the series will be available for viewing.

Yet another reason to look forward to Christmas, "Wonder Woman 84" on HBO Max (and in the theater for you daredevils).

Here are some new images of Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor (wait, didn't he die in the last one?), Kristin Wiig (inspired casting. At least I hope so), and Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord (whoever though we'd see Maxwell Lord in a movie?)

Sorry movie theaters, "Wonder Woman 1984" isn't the only Warner movie coming straight to HBO Max

Along with "Wonder Woman 1984," Warner Bros. plans to stream all of its 2021 released directly on HBO Max due to the COVID crisis, Variety reports.

Those movies include would-be box office smashes such as "Dune,: "The Matrix 4," "The Suicide Squad," "The Little Things," "Judas And The Black Messiah," "Tom & Jerry," "Godzilla Vs. Kong," "Mortal Kombat," "Those Who Wish Me Dead," "The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It," "In The Heights," "Space Jam: A New Legacy," "Reminiscence," "Malignant," "The Many Saints Of Newark," "King Richard," and "Cry Macho."

Like "Wonder Woman," which streams on HBO Max starting Christmas Day, the films will also play in theaters. The films will stream for 31 days and then play only on theaters for a time before becoming available on Blu-ray and other streaming services.

WarnerMedia chair and CEO Ann Sarnoff referred to the model as a “unique one-year plan.” Executives at the company have stressed the initiative isn’t expected to continue into 2022 or beyond — it’s considered a temporary solution in response to the ongoing global heath crisis.
