The Jack Kirby Museum is 98 percent done scanning the more than 5,000 pencil-art pages in its archives, John Morrow reports.

For those not familiar with what we’re doing, Jack Kirby xeroxed most of his pencil art, prior to inking, from the early 1970s-on, in case anything ever got lost in the mail on the way to the inker, or his publisher. Jack had xeroxes of some of his 1960s pencils in his files as well, and we’ve been scanning and archiving them for several years. There’s a level of urgency to it, because xerox machines of that era weren’t like today’s; they used technology much like the old Thermal Fax machines, with that greasy-feeling gray paper, and the copies are suseptible to fading when exposed to light over long periods. So this amazing record of Kirby’s pre-inked art was slowly fading away.

Disney plans a new, hand-drawn animated flick for 2009.

"Frog Princess" will be a hand drawn musical, the type of pic that defined Disney's triumphant animation run in the '90s, but was abandoned by the Mouse in 2005 after a string of flops like "Home on the Range" and "The Emperor's New Groove." Like every other major studio, Disney has since focused on CGI toons, such as "Chicken Little" and this month's "Meet the Robinsons."

"Lost": Things we STILL don't know

Mysteries--"Lost" is loaded with them. Sometimes answers to our questions are revealed, but often even more questions arise. Here's a running list of unresolved questions relating to the show. We'll add new questions when they crop up, and let you know when we learn answers:

* What is the history of the Others? Where did they come from? Why did they kill off the Dharma Initiative?

* What's behind the creepy whispering often heard on the island? Ghosts?

* What is the back story of Danielle, the French woman? How did she arrive on the island? Does she have any ties to Dharma?

* Why did Ben abduct Danielle's daughter, Alex?

* What are the lists all about? Why are the Others interested in some of the crash survivors and not the rest? They define themselves as "good." What's their definition of the word?

* What was Ben's breakfast on the beach with Kate in season 3 all about? We didn't see any of their discussion.

* Why did the smoke monster kill Mr. Eko?

* Why did the Others initially disguise themselves as shipwrecked pirate types complete with fake beards?

* What's up with the sickness that supposedly killed of Danielle's team? Was it the gas Ben released to kill off the Dharma Initiative?

* What is the history of "Adam and Eve," the skeletal remains the crash survivors discovered in season one? Were they Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan?

* What is the smoke monster that has killed several people? Is it controlled by the Others/Jacob?

* What really brought the various people to island? What's behind the web of connections among them all?

* Is the Dharma Initiative still active at all?

* Who was behind the air drop of Dharma supplies that has benefited the Oceanic survivors?

* How did the Others get information about the plane crash survivors, including their real names? How are they in contact with the outside world?

* Why do women on the island die instead of giving birth?

* What's behind the apparent healing properties of the island?

* Who, or what, is Jacob?

* What's responsible for the visions of animals and dead people the crash surivors sometimes see on the island?

* What's the deal with Libby, killed in season 2, who evidently gave Desmond the sailboat that landed him on the island and who once was in a mental ward with Hurley?

* What's up with the giant, four-toed statue Sayid, Sun and Jin see at the end of season 2?

* Is there any explanation for why the man in the Dharma Initiative videos is at different times identified as Dr. Marvin Candle and Dr. Mark Wickmund or why the CIA agent who identifies himself as Joe Inman to Sayid tells Desmond his name is Kelvin Inman?

* Why did the psychic in Australia encourage Claire to take the doomed flight?

* Who is the man Sarah left Jack for? Why is she so reluctant to reveal his identity? Is he somehow associated with the Dharma Initiative and/or the Others?

* How is the island hidden from the outside world?

* Who is the person who died in the "flash forward" featuring an off-island Jack and Kate? They refer to him, but not by name.

* What happened to those still on the island?

* How did Abaddon recruit his team? Why did they agree to help him?

* What's up with that polar bear in Tunisia? Was Charlotte part of Dharma when she found it, or was she snooping into what Dharma is all about?

* Who staged the fake Oceanic 815 wreckage? Widmore or Ben?

* Is Abbadon really working for Widmore, or does he have secret motives? Afterall, he encouraged Locke to make is walk-about trip. Maybe Abbadon is really with the Others.

* How does Ben leave the island?

* How did the Others learn about Locke when he was a youngster?
What is it about Locke that they want?

* What is the explanation for the time anomalies between the island and the rest of the world?

* Why is Richard Alpert seemingly ageless?

* Are Christian Shepherd and Claire dead? Are we seeing their ghosts? Is Jacob making their ghosts appear?

* How did Widmore learn about the island? Why does he want it? What is his relationship to Ben?

Lost clues: "Enter 77" Ep. 11, Season 3

Synopsis:

Sayid, Kate, Locke and Danielle discover the Dharma Initiative "Flame" station, which serves as a communication center with the outside world. It's inhabited by the Patch Man we saw on a monitor screen earlier in the season.

The Patch Man, later identified as Mikhail, shoots Sayid in the shoulder, but then calms down after Locke, Kate and Danielle emerge with their weapons. He says he is the last remaining member of the Dharma Initiative--his comrades were killed by the "hostiles."

However, we soon learn that Mikhail is pretty hostile himself and alligned with the Others. Hiding in a secret hatch below the main quarters of the station, Kate and Sayid discover Ms. Klugh, seen last season studying Walt after he was abducted by the Others.

In a confrontation, Mikhail takes Locke hostage, while Kate and Sayid hold Ms. Klugh at gunpoint. Ms. Klugh and Mikhail should back and forth to one another in Russian and, apparently instructed by Klugh to do so, Mikhail shoots and kills Ms. Klugh.

Sayid and the rest take Mikhail prisoner and, while retrieving usable items from the Flame, Locke fiddles with a computer. On the screen, Dr. Candle of the Dharma orientation films, gives options of codes to enter in certain situations--wanting to communicate via satellite, etc. If the station is under attack by the hostiles, the code to enter is "77." Locke, apparently figuring entering the code might trigger someone from the outside to come help/rescue them, enters the code and rejoins Sayid and the rest. The station then explodes, triggered to do so by the code Locke entered.

Locke apparently has ruined the crash survivors' hopes for contacting help.

Clues, observations, speculation:

* Here's the purported translation of Klugh and Mikhail's Russian conversation:

Klugh: Mikhail! You know what to do.
Mikhail: We still have another way.
Klugh: We cannot risk. You know what to do.
Mikhail: We still have another way.
Klugh: We cannot risk. You know the conditions.
Mikhail: We have another way.
Klugh: They know us. We will not let them [unintelligible]. You know what to do. It is an order.
Mikhail: But we still have another way! (pause) I'm sorry! (shoots)

* So, we still don't know if the Dharmas and the Others/Hostiles are the same or related groups. Mikhail indicates the hostiles were on the island for a "long time," before the Dharmas arrived. But can we trust what he says?

* Remember when Desmond arrives on the island, Kelvin--the man in the Hatch--warns him about the hostiles.

* Dr. Candle apparently knows about the hostiles, which could mean that they actually are a rival group to the Dharmas.

* Where does Danielle figure into all of this? She mentioned in season one that she was part of research team, but she seems to know nothing of the Dharmas.

* Why did Ms. Klugh feel she should be killed? What could/would she reveal to the survivors that Mikhail could/would not?

* Mikhail Bakunin, the name used by Patch Man, was a real person. From Wikipedia:

[He was] a well-known Russian revolutionary, and often considered one of the “fathers of modern anarchism".

...Bakunin rejected the notion of "scientific socialism," writing in God and the State that a "scientific body to which had been confided the government of society would soon end by devoting itself no longer to science at all, but to quite another affair... its own eternal perpetuation by rendering the society confided to its care ever more stupid and consequently more in need of its government and direction.

Marvel Comics, in yet another desperate plea for attention, has killed off Captain America--"at least for now."

On the new edition's pages, a sniper shoots down the shield-wielding hero as he leaves a courthouse...

...the character's death came as a blow to co-creator Joe Simon.

"We really need him now," said Simon, 93, who worked with artist Jack Kirby to devise Captain America as a foe for Adolf Hitler.

Yoko Ono has blocked the world premiere of a new John Lennon documentary, "Three Days in the Life."

Ray Thomas, the documentary's executive producer, culled raw footage that was shot inside Lennon's apartment down to a two-hour film covering a pivotal time in Lennon's career. The footage was shot by Ono's former husband, Tony Cox, over a three-day period in February 1970, two months before the breakup of the Beatles.
