Keith Richards talks about his memoirs

Listen on NPR's "Fresh Air."

"You think, in a 50-year relationship doing this stuff, that there's not going to be some conflict, some disagreements? Of course there's going to be," Richards says. "...[Jagger] got used to holding the reins, and that was a bit of a shock to me at the time. But I got to live with it. And anyway, actually, what happened is we ended up sharing the reins again. But at the time, yeah, that did shock me, or disappointed me. Shock, I'm beyond."

Rocky and Bullwinkle creator dies

Alex Anderson, the cartoonist who had to fight for credit as the creator of Rocky and Bullwinkle has died at age 90, reports The New York Times.

Mr. Anderson, whose credit for creating the characters faded from public view until he won a lawsuit in 1996, was not directly involved in the production of the television series, in which Rocky and Bullwinkle raced to the aid of those in danger and solved mysteries.\

...The series, created by Jay Ward (who had been Mr. Anderson’s childhood friend) and Bill Scott, made its debut on ABC in 1959 as “Rocky and His Friends.” In 1961 it moved to NBC as “The Bullwinkle Show,” one of the first prime-time network cartoon series.

NOT excited about DC's revamped Captain Marvel

This "new" take on the Big Red Cheese seems like more of the same old thing, rather the kid-oriented, fun take featured in DC's recently canceled Billy Batson and Magic of Shazam. Too bad. If any character should be published mainly for kids, it's Cap.

Lost Johnny Cash - Ray Charles duet recovered

From Billboard:

"Why Me, Lord?," written by Kris Kristofferson, was recorded by Cash and Charles in 1981 but never released. It now appears on "Rare Genius: The Undiscovered Masters," a new collection of Ray Charles tracks arriving Oct. 26 on Concord Records.

Neil Gaiman gets animated on Arthur

The celebrated author/comics writer appears on the PBS kids toon today.

Gaiman’s role comes in an episode called “Falafelosophy,” inspiring one of the kids who’s trying her hand at writing and illustrating a graphic novel. It’s paired with what sounds like a suitable companion story, “Tales of the Grotesquely Grim Bunny,” about changes on the shelves at the local comic shop.

New Battlestar Galactica prequel planned

Cool. I'm up for more stories from the BSG universe:

The Syfy network just greenlit a two hour pilot called Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome which will follow a young William Adama as a Viper pilot on the battlestar Galactica during the first Cylon war.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, a sentient robotic race, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a brash rookie viper pilot enters the fray. Ensign William Adama, barely in his 20′s and a recent Academy graduate, finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet’ the Galactica. The talented but hot-headed risk-taker soon finds himself leading a dangerous top secret mission that, if successful, will turn the tide of the decade long war in favor of the desperate fleet.
